We also got new singles from Cloak, Nile, Cro-Mags, Blood Incantation, Cannabis Corpse, Dawn Ray’d, Annihilator, and more. Read on for all the metal we posted on BV this week…

CLOAK – “A VOICE IN THE NIGHT”

Classic rock/black metal blenders Cloak have shared another song off their anticipated new album The Burning Dawn, and you can read more about it at Invisible Oranges.

NILE – “VILE NILOTIC RITES”

South Carolina death metal vets Nile have shared the title track off their upcoming album Vile Nilotic Rites, which drips November 1, the same day Nile begin their tour with Terrorizer. Like the previous single, it’s total eardrum-shattering brutality.

CRO-MAGS – “FROM THE GRAVE” (ft. MOTORHEAD’S PHIL CAMPBELL)

Cro-Mags — with the lineup of Harley Flanagan, Gabby Abularach, Rocky George, and Garry Sullivan — recently released their first new music in 19 years with the three-song Don’t Give In EP, and now they’re set to release a second three-song EP of 2019, From The Grave, on December 6 via Victory Records. The title track is out now, and it features guest guitar by longtime Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell, who Harley asked to contribute after Lemmy came to him in a dream. Read more about it here.

BLOOD INCANTATION – “INNER PATHS (TO OUTER SPACE)”

Blood Incantation have released the first single off their very anticipated sophomore album Hidden History of the Human Race, and the band says the song “is a meditative journey through the inner cosmos of the human mind. We improvised this track on psychedelics over a period of several months, allowing it to grow and evolve as it chose.” You can definitely hear the influence of psychedelics on this song… read more about it here.

CANNABIS CORPSE – “DAWN OF WEED POSSESSION”

Weed and pun-obsessed death metallers Cannabis Corpse have shared another song off the upcoming Nug So Vile, and it comes with a music video that pairs performance footage with a storyline where two guys (including drummer Josh “HallHammer” Hall) get busted with weed by a cop (aka frontman Phil “Landphil” Hall), and then things get pretty ridiculous from there.

DAWN RAY’D – “LIKE SMOKE INTO FOG”

Liverpool folk/black metallers Dawn Ray’ have shared another single off their upcoming album Behold Sedition Plainsong (due 10/25 via Prosthetic). “Like Smoke Into Fog” offers up a killer balance of the band’s intense black metal side and their meditative folk side, and it comes with a video of them performing in front of a castle.

ANNIHILATOR – “I AM WARFARE”

The current version of veteran Canadian metal band Annihilator (longtime lead vocalist and producer Jeff Waters with a few newer guys) are releasing their seventeenth album, Ballistic, Sadistic, on January 24 via Silver Lining Music, and Waters — who wrote, performed, engineered, and produced the new LP — calls it “a record that is angry, technical, back to the first three records’ vibes.” Your first taste is “I Am Warfare.”

PETBRICK – “COMING” (ft. LAIMA LEYTON)

Petbrick, the new industrial project from former Sepultura drummer Igor Cavalera and Big Lad’s Wayne Adams, have shared another song off their upcoming debut album I, and this one’s the most accessible single yet thanks to some great melodic guest vocals by Laima Leyton. The album drops 10/25 via Closed Casket Activities.

LEFT BEHIND – “PEELING WAX” (ft. KUBLAI KHAN’s MATT HONEYCUTT)

Left Behind will release their third album, No One Goes To Heaven, on November 15 via Pure Noise Records, and the first single is “Peeling Wax,” which features Kublai Khan vocalist Matt Honeycutt. “‘Peeling Wax’ in particular was about a conversation I had with Matt during the first tour we did together,” vocalist Zach Hatfield says. “To sum it up, he told me he connected with what I say, that he felt like he was alone in a lot of things he experiences and our music was like a light in the darkness he felt.” The song is as dark in tone as it is lyrically, and it occupies a nice middle ground between sludge and metalcore.

CONSUMER (mem HAVE A NICE LIFE) – “THE MILLS/IN COMPUTERS PART 1”

Consumer (aka Tim Macuga from Have a Nice Life along with HANL’s live band) have shared another song off their upcoming album In Computers. It covers a lot of ground its 11-minute running time, including some dark post-punk stuff that’s cut from a similar cloth as HANL.

BLACK MOUNTAIN – “WHAT’S YOUR CONQUEST?”

Black Mountain have followed this year’s very good Destroyer with a new non-album single, “What’s Your Conquest?,” which has Black Mountain’s ability to mix far-out psychedelia, lively energy, and good hooks in fine form.
