19 New Songs Out Today
So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, show recaps, track premieres, and more all day. That includes a lot of tour announcements, a list of tonight’s NYC shows, and NY shows that just went on sale. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place…
BEST COAST – “EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED”
Best Coast are back with new album Always Tomorrow on February 21 and they’ve just shared new crunchy, riff-rocking new single “Everything Has Changed” and its video. Bethany Cosentino says the song came out of a long spell of writer’s block. “One day, I locked myself in my closet and I forced myself to write, and out came ‘Everything Has Changed.’ The song was like a vision of life I wished I was living; ultimately, that song was prophetic — describing the life I would soon be living. Always Tomorrow is the story of where I was and where I am now, as well as the struggles I am still learning to identify and figure out.” The video, directed by Ryan Baxley, puts Bethany as host of a ’70s TV game show.
