4 New Songs Out Today

ACL Festival 2018, Weekend 1 - Friday
Paul McCartney at ACL Fest 2018 (more by Andy Sawyer)

So many artists, so little time. Each week we review five new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, show recaps, track premieres, and more all day. That includes a lot of tour announcements, a list of tonight’s NYC shows, and NY shows that just went on sale. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place…

PAUL MCCARTNEY – “GET ENOUGH”

Having released the new album Egypt Station in 2018, Paul McCartney is back with another new song, “Get Enough.” Co-produced by Paul, Ryan Tedder, and Zach Skelton, “Get Enough” sees Paul going into Bon Iver-ish auto-tune territory… it’s a far cry from, like, “Let It Be.”

BRIAN MAY – “NEW HORIZONS” (ULTIMA THULE REMIX)

Queen’s Brian May released his first new solo song in over 20 years, “New Horizons” (Ultima Thule Mix), which coincides with NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft setting a new record for the most distant spacecraft flyby in history.

OUTER HEAVEN – “CRYPTIC VISIONS”

Rising death metal newcomers Outer Heaven shared this new ripper which is out on a limited edition flexi disc with the new issue of Decibel.

TOPAZ JONES – “MILAN”

Rapper/singer Topaz Jones dropped “Milan,” which sees him freestyling over Ravyn Lenae’s Steve Lacy-produced “Sticky.” It’s cool stuff — if Jones and Steve Lacy ever actually make a song together, we bet it’d sound pretty damn good.
