a first look at Nitehawk Prospect Park (menu, screenings, pics & more)

Nitehawk Cinema’s long-awaited Park Slope location, Nitehawk Prospect Park, finally opens on Wednesday (12/19). Having taken over the Pavillion Theater, it’s a much bigger cinema than the Williamsburg location, which will allow for blockbusters in addition to more indie-leaning films. There are seven screens with 650 seats total and, like in Williamsburg, a full bar and food menu will be available in-theater at screenings. Additionally, with the new Park Slope location, they’re introducing “Dine & Dash,” a new feature that allows “guests to enjoy food and beverage items without having a check presented during the film, resulting in a more seamless and unobtrusive experience.”

Also like at the original location, there is a stand-alone bar at Nitehawk Prospect Park, called The Mezzanine Bar, which is located on the second floor, features “our in-house curated VHS Vault” as well as a view of Prospect Park. The new Nitehawk will also have food specials paired to the movies they’re showing, and there will be specialty screenings and series, like midnight movies and the Music Driven series.

Nitehawk Cinema Prospect Park opens with Mary Poppins Returns, The World Before Your Feet, The Favourite, Green Book, Aquaman, Shoplifters, and Free Solo. Check out the showtimes and Nitehawk Prospect Park’s food and drink menu here, and pics from inside the cinema are in the gallery above.
