A Tribe Called Quest opening pop-up shop in NYC this weekend
A Tribe Called Quest will release their final album — and first since the ’90s — this Friday (11/11) and then they’re playing the Dave Chappelle-hosted episode of SNL the next night. Also this weekend, the group will have a pop-up show at 393 Broadway in NYC from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday, and noon to 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll be selling t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and jackets with designs based on the new album cover, plus copies of the album. The merch is also available at the group’s webstore.
There’s also a Tribe mural on Linden Boulevard at 192 St, the same location which will be renamed “Malik ‘Phife Dawg’ Taylor Way” on November 19 in honor of the late ATCQ member Phife Dawg.
