A$AP Rocky discussed jail time, brought out Tyler the Creator, YG & A$AP Ferg at first show since release

A$AP Rocky gave his first performance since being released from jail in Sweden while awaiting the verdict of his assault trial at Anaheim, CA’s Real Street festival last night (8/11). During his set, he brought out Tyler, the Creator to perform their collaborative “Who Dat Boy” and Tyler’s “Earfquake,” YG to perform their collaborative “Handgun” and YG’s “Big Bank,” and A$AP Ferg to perform their collaborative “Work” and Ferg’s “Floor Seats” and “Plain Jane.”

Rocky also addressed his jail time in Sweden on stage, saying the following (transcribed by Pitchfork):

Y’all know how happy I am to be here right now, I wanna say this tho. When I was away—hold the mosh please, this a sentimental moment!—what I experienced was crazy…. It was a scary, humbling experience but I’m here right now, God is good. People who ain’t even fuck with me felt sympathy. People was praying for me, that uplifted me when my spirits was low. I can’t thank y’all enough, man, that was crazy. Hip-hop never looked so strong together.

Watch videos of all three guest appearances and Rocky’s speech below. The speech comes in around the 18-minute mark of the Tyler video.

A verdict for Rocky’s case will be delivered by a Swedish judge this Wednesday (8/14). If Rocky remains free, he will co-headline the inaugural Rolling Loud NYC this October.

UPDATE: A$AP Ferg also just announced a headlining tour.
