Tom Edwards, RIP

Sad news: Tom Edwards, guitarist and musical director on Adam Ant‘s Kings of the Wild Frontier tour, died on Wednesday (1/25). He was found unresponsive and rushed to Kennedy Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ where he died of “suspected heart failure.” An autopsy is still pending. In addition to playing with Adam Ant, Tom had played with Edwyn Collins, Roddy Frame (Aztec Camera), Fields of the Nephilim and others. He was 41. Rest in peace, Tom.

Needless to say, Adam Ant’s Kings of the Wild Frontier tour, which only started on January 23 in Washington, DC, is on hold, with tonight’s show in Philadelphia (1/26) and Friday’s show at NYC’s Webster Hall (1/27) being postponed. The tour will resume with the January 29th show in Toronto. Stay tuned for makeup shows for NYC and Philly.
