Adult Dude releasing debut LP on Animal Style (hear a song)
by Andrew Sacher
Brooklyn’s Adult Dude (who we’ve written about here and here) have signed with Animal Style Records, who will release their debut album, Adult Moods, on July 31 (pre-order). We’ve got the debut of its new single “Junior Junior,” which, like most of the bands’ stuff, pulls from a solid list of traditional indie rock influences. Dinosaur Jr, Built to Spill and Superchunk fans, take note.
A few days before the new album comes out, Adult Dude are playing day 3 of Gigawatts Fest (7/26) which is pretty stacked. Braid, Swearin’, Laura Stevenson, Cheap Girls, Beach Slang, Chumped and more all play that day. Tickets are still available.
