AEG, the company behind Coachella and many other festivals and venues, continues to invade NYC. After acquiring Bowery Presents (including the newly-opened Brooklyn Steel), purchasing Webster Hall, and presenting the Panorama Music Festival on Randall’s Island, AEG has now signed a long-term booking and concert promotion agreement with the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, Billboard reports.

The venue will still be owned and operated by the West Side Tennis Club, who re-opened it for concerts in 2013, after it had not hosted music for decades. Bowery Presents and the AEG-owned Madison House Presents have booked at Forest Hills Stadium before, but now Madison House will exclusively book 15 to 20 shows at the venue each year. Madison House’s Mike Luba tells Billboard that the agreement goes past 2030. Like other AEG venues, tickets will be on AXS.

Luba also adds that Forest Hills “will serve as the summer home for the New York Pops with director and conductor Steven Reineke leading a June 8 performance honoring the music of John Williams.”

Last year, Mike Luba revealed that Forest Hills Stadium has a secret VIP room with a porta potty as an entrance. The venue has other secret rooms as well, like the Racoon Room and the Sign Room.

Upcoming shows at Forest Hills Stadium include The xx, My Morning Jacket, Tom Petty, Sigur Ros, and a just-announced show with The National on October 6 (tickets on sale soon).
