Aesop Rock releases new single "Klutz" (watch the video)
Underground rap lifer Aesop Rock is basically always up to something, and no matter what trends come and go, he sticks to his guns and remains at the top of his game. He just dropped a new song, “Klutz,” which will be out as a 7″ single on June 22 via Fifth Element (pre-order). It sounds like he set out to rap as many syllables as possible before needing to take a breath, and the result is a very lively-sounding song that reminds you very few people do it like Aesop Rock. “Occasionally song structure eludes me and it feels good. No problem-solving or pesky hit chorus, just rambling. Klutz is such a moment. I had started a couple things to this beat before sacrificing it to the gods of not-shutting-up, but this seemed a fitting fate. I hope you enjoy it,” he said.
