AFI & Gerard Way release new songs ahead of Halloween (listen)
It’s the Friday of Halloweekend, and what better way to get in the spirit than by getting nostalgic with new songs by two of your early 2000s eyeliner-wearing goth-emo faves? AFI shared a new song “Get Dark,” which expected to be on a new EP called The Missing Man (due 12/7), and it’s the kind of catchy, driving punk that will bring you right back to Sing the Sorrow.
My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way got even more Halloweeny with “Baby You’re A Haunted House” and a video starring a band of skeletons. This one doesn’t sound much like MCR; it’s more like the power pop of Gerard Way’s 2014 solo debut Hesitant Alien, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
