Against Me! playing full albums on tour with Cursive

Against Me! have announced a tour that they’re calling “2 Nights / 4 Records / 48 Songs,” where they’ll play two-night stands this fall in Los Angeles, Toronto, ON, Boston, Baltimore, and Sayreville, NJ, performing their albums Searching For A Former Clarity, New Wave, White Crosses and Transgender Dysphoria Blues in their entirety. “While working on new music this year – before we move forward into the future – we thought it would be fun to revisit the past, the albums that got us to where we are now,” says singer Laura Jane Grace. “Like chapters in a book, there’s a narrative that flows through these four albums that we’ve never had the chance before to present in this context, as one complete story. I’m excited to share the songs as a whole in this way. This is probably the closest I will ever come to being a part of a ‘Rock Opera’ of any sorts.”

The tour gets some great support on the East Coast from Cursive, who released Vitriola with original drummer Clint Schnase and longtime co-producer Mike Mogis last year, and Dilly Dally, who are supporting their sophomore album Heaven. The NJ dates happen at Starland Ballroom on October 18 & 19. Tickets for Starland go on sale Friday, May 17 at 10 AM with presales starting Tuesday (5/14) at 10 AM. Two-day passes are also available.

Against Me! just wrapped up a tour with Frank Turner, but their Asbury Park show at Stone Pony Summerstage on Sunday was rained out and moved to Asbury Lanes. They have other dates this year, including performances this month in Montreal, Boston, San Francisco and Napa, CA. In November, they play Florida’s The Fest, where they’ll perform the four albums in full, and Laura will do a solo set.
