Aimee Mann announces summer tour with Jonathan Coulton

Aimee Mann will be spending her July on the road with friend and past tourmate Jonathan Coulton for a short East Coast tour, kicking things off in Portsmouth, NH on 7/5 and wrapping up in Annapolis, MD on 7/19. The tour hits NYC on 7/17 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and tickets for that show go on AmEx presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 19 at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.

While she hasn’t released new music since 2017’s Mental Illness, she has been busy with her podcast with Ted Leo, The Art of the Process, where they “talk to friends across the creative spectrum to find out how they work.” The most recent episode features Aimee and Ted talking with artist Eric White and you can listen to that here.

Jonathan Coulton, meanwhile, has been busy writing songs for great CBS All Access series The Good Fight, with a song/animated short in most episodes of the current third season so far — done in Schoolhouse Rock animated style — that explain a core idea to the week’s episode, be it troll farms, NDAs, Pepe the Frog, or who Roy Cohn is. You can watch a few of those below.
