Alcest share "Je Suis D’Ailleurs” from new LP 'Kodama'

We mentioned that French shoegaze/maybe a little bit of black metal crew Alcest are working on their new album Kodama. They had already shared the beautiful first song “Oiesaux de Proie,” and now they’ve shared another new track, a similarly beaut called “Je Suis D’Ailleurs,” which you can listen to here.

It’s a really stirring track following the more pensive “Oiesaux de Proie,” a seven-plus minute journey through various lush soundscapes. The transition from blast-beats to strummed chords and eventually post-rock-y arpeggios around the 4.5 minute mark is really a fist-pump inducing moment and, as the song closes out with some soaring vocals, it’s hard not to get fired up about the new album.

Alcest has some European dates on the way, though hopefully we’ll get to hear them play this album stateside soon.
