All Get Out announce new EP, share song, reissuing debut

by Andrew Sacher

All Get Out

South Carolina’s All Get Out have been around for a while now, but haven’t released anything since their only full length, 2011’s The Season. The Season was the kind of album that was overlooked by most but loved by those who knew it. Like the bands it’s most similar to (Manchester Orchestra, Kevin Devine, Weatherbox), it’s an emotional, cathartic rock album that got erroneously lumped in with the emo scene, probably just for being emotional and cathartic. And that Manchester connection doesn’t stop at musical comparisons. The band’s label, Favorite Gentlemen, recently signed All Get Out to reissue The Season and put out new music from them in the form of the Movement EP (due 4/14).

Both the new EP and the The Season reissue are split releases with Bad Timing Records. You can pre-order them from BTR here and here, respectively.

Movement‘s lead single, “Balance,” premiered today over at Absolute Punk, and it basically picks up right where The Season left off. For anyone unfamiliar with the band, that also means it sounds like Manchester Orchestra’s I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child. But considering MO haven’t sounded like that in nine years, it’s pretty great to get a song like “Balance” in 2015. Listen below.

All Get Out are also opening the spring leg of Mae’s The Everglow tenth anniversary tour, which doesn’t hit NYC (the tour was here in January without All Get Out). All dates are listed below…
