Allison Crutchfield announces Merge debut, shares "Dean's Room"
Allison Crutchfield of the reunited PS Eliot, Swearin’, the live Waxahatchee lineup and more, recently signed to Merge as a solo artist, and now her debut album has been announced. It’s called Tourist In This Town and it comes out on January 27 via that label.
The lead single is “Dean’s Room,” which, like Waxahatchee’s Merge debut, has Allison’s trademark style get a boost from some more layering and glossier studio production than she usually has. It was produced by Philly’s Jeff Zeigler, who’s also worked with Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs, Nothing, and more. Watch the Lara Gallagher-directed video for the song:
