Alison Mosshart releases solo single "Rise"

Alison Mosshart has released music with The Kills, The Dead Weather, Discount, and other various projects for about 25 years, and this year she’s focusing on a solo career more than ever before. She’s done some solo covers (like Iggy Pop’s “The Passenger” and The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows”) for film soundtracks in the past, but earlier this year she contributed the original song “I Don’t Know” to Lawrence & Yves Rothman‘s The Turning soundtrack, and now she has another new Lawrence Rothman-produced solo song, “Rise,” which was “recorded for, and prominently featured in” the final episode of Facebook Watch’s Sacred Lies, which is also out today. The song is right up the sleazy punk-blues alley that Alison has long excelled at — listen and watch the video (produced by Alison herself) below.
