Amadou & Mariam touring, playing free Central Park Summerstage show w/ Theophilus London (dates)
Amadou & Mariam released their new album, Folila, earlier this year with guest vocals from Santigold, TV On The Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone, Bertrand Cantat, Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, Ebony Bones, Abdallah Oumbadougou, and Theophilus London. The album also features guitar from Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and production from Manu Chao, Damon Albarn, and Marc-Antoine Moreau. Amadou & Mariam have a number of upcoming shows and festival appearances scheduled, including Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Outside Lands, and they’ll be coming to NYC for a free Central Park Summerstage show this Saturday (8/4) at 3 PM with Folila guest Theophilus London. Maybe he’ll make an on-stage appearance during their set?
