Now that Amebix is officially back from the grave, we should all give praise to the fact that the crust-metal (no) gods are back in the studio grinding out material. Original members The Baron and Stig have teamed up with current drummer Roy Mayorga (who also recorded/mixed) to hit us with the Redux EP on Profane Existence, a release that revisits four Amebix classics, one recorded live on their 2009 tour. The re-recorded three songs were picked by the band as “their favorites”. One of those tracks, “Winter” from their 1983 7″ of the same name, is available for download above. Stream the whole EP via the band.

No word on a second round of US dates for the Scotland murderers, but until then, dig on some video from their last batch of shows below…
