American Football played Terminal 5 with Joan of Arc & Mothers (pics, setlist)

Last year, influential emo vets American Football returned with their first album in 17 years, American Football (LP2), which we named one of the best albums of the year. They’e been playing some shows in support of it, including one at NYC’s Terminal 5 on Saturday (1/28). They played the entire new album in full, and then came back for an encore of classics like “Honestly?,” “Never Meant,” “I’ll See You When We’re Both Not So Emotional,” and more. Full setlist below.

Opening the show was American Football frontman Mike Kinsella’s brother/frequent collaborator Tim’s band Joan of Arc, who just released their enjoyable new album He’s Got The Whole This Land Is Your Land In His Hands. Athens, GA indie folk newcomers Mothers opened too. Pictures of all three bands are in the gallery above.

American Football have more dates coming up, including Sasquatch! Festival. Updated tour schedule below.

Did anyone else make it to the Terminal 5 show from the protest at JFK’s Terminal 4?
