Amoeba Hollywood announces new location w/ help from Tyler, The Creator, moving this fall

Amoeba Hollywood announced they’d be moving two years ago, and now they’ve finally revealed details. The new location is at 6200 Hollywood Blvd at Argyle, which is just a couple blocks from its current 6400 Sunset Blvd location and next door to The Fonda Theatre. It’s part of the “El Centro” complex in downtown Hollywood and is “a bit smaller” than the current location, “but not a whole lot… It’s still a huge space that will house all the formats and goodies we carry now.” Amoeba is planning to open the new location “sometime after Labor Day 2020.”

The announcement came via a video starring Tyler, The Creator who does a walkthrough of the new space, which is still in very raw form, and talks about Amoeba’s support of his first studio album. You can watch that below and more information on Amoeba Hollywood’s new location is here.

The 6400 Sunset location is to be torn down and replaced with a 26-story complex.
