Angel Du$t sign to Roadrunner, share two new songs

Angel Du$t (who share members with Trapped Under Ice, Turnstile, and other Baltimore bands) have inked a major label deal with Roadrunner Records (also currently home to Turnstile, Code Orange, Slipknot, Korn, and others) and that presumably means a followup to 2016’s great Rock The Fuck On Forever (Pop Wig) is on the way. No word on that just yet, but Angel Du$t did share two new songs along with the news of the signing: “Big Ass Love” and “Take Away the Pain.” They’re both jangly songs with acoustic guitars that are a lot softer sounding than what Angel Du$t were previously known for. It’s an unexpected change, but Angel Du$t pull this kind of thing off just as well as they pull off driving hardcore. Here’s what vocalist Justice Tripp told The FADER about the new songs:

We recorded these 2 hot tracks with the king, William Yip. The songs are very much Angel Du$t, while the production is some whole other shit. Feels good to complete our team with a label that fucks with our vision. ‘Big Ass Love’ is about the healing power of rock.

Listen to both songs below.

Angel Du$t’s tour with Every Time I Die, Turnstile, and Vein begins tonight (11/12) in Chicago and ends at Every Time I Die’s hometown holiday show in Buffalo, which also includes Snapcase, The Bouncing Souls, The Menzingers, Knocked Loose, Turnstile, and Vein. All dates are listed below.
