Anne and Whirr team up for a double 7" split (stream a song); Deafheaven and Bosse De Nage prep split EP

Like minded left-coast shoegaze crews Anne and Whirr have joined forces for a new split 2×7″ EP, due on Run For Cover on October 16. Both bands contribute a pair of tracks to the proceedings, with side D of the release being devoted to an etching for all of you vinyl nerds out there. Check out a stream of the third track from the release, “Pet Names,” available for streaming below and preorder yours if you so desire.
Anne also recently dropped an acoustic cover of Radiohead’s “Motion Picture Soundtrack,” which was recorded in one take. Download that via Mediafire.
In related news, members of Whirr either currently or have previously logged hours as a member of Deafheaven, and you can look forward to their split release with Bosse De Nage via The Flenser Records. Deafheaven contributes a cover of Mogwai’s “Punk Rock / Cody” while BDN’s contribution comes in the new track “A Mimesis of Purpose”.
