Annihilation Time announce first U.S. show since 2009
Oxnard, CA punk greats Annihilation Time initially broke up in 2009 (the same year they played a BrooklynVegan SXSW show) but reformed last year for a one-off in Melbourne. This year they’ve got an Austin show coming up, which is reportedly their only US show of the year. It happens July 8 at Barracuda (formerly Red 7). Tickets are on sale now.
UPDATE: Before last year’s Melbourne show, they did play an impromptu secret set at San Francisco venue El Rio with Lecherous Gaze with whom they share members. So this will actually be their second US show since 2009. Watch a video of that SF show below.
For the uninitiated, Annihilation Time make classic-style hardcore with riffs and twin leads that hearken back to ’70s hard rock. Their 2005 album II is a classic in certain punk circles, and you can stream that one below or download it for free here.
