Aparna Nancherla cancels tour due to "big career opportunity"

Aparna Nancherla

Aparna Nancherla — who you may know from her weekly NYC comedy show Butterboy, Corporate, Master of None, Netflix’s The Standups, or her many other projects — was supposed to go on the “It’s Me Again” tour this summer and fall, but she has been forced to cancel the tour “due to a very unexpected and exciting big career opportunity that I am not allowed to share yet but will as soon as I can.” What do you think it will be??

Fortunately, Aparna has not had to cancel her hometown date on the tour, which happens October 18 at The Bell House and is now sold out. Read her full statement and see the list of all cancelled dates below.

Meanwhile, Butterboy — which Aparna co-hosts with Jo Firestone and Maeve Higgins — continues July 23 (with The Problem with Apu‘s Hari Kondabolu and more), July 30, August 6 (with Jon Glaser and more), August 13 (with Todd Barry and more), and August 20 (with Emily Blotnick, Josh Gondelman and more). Tickets for those five shows are on sale now.
