Aphex Twin Collapse

Aphex Twin announces new EP, shares "T69 Collapse"

Aphex Twin is back with a new EP, titled Collapse, which will be out September 14 via Warp. You can listen to first single “T69 Collapse,” which is a typically glitchy, melodically bouncy track that finds Richard D James still occupying his own strange planet. The strobe-heavy video, which was created by Weirdcore, was supposed to have premiered on Adult Swim last night but didn’t pass the Harding test — the photosensitive epilepsy safety standards that are mandatory for broadcast television. With that in mind, the video is below.

The EP’s existence was teased, like he did with his 2014 comeback, over the weekend with cryptic public art in Manhattan, Tokyo, London and Los Angeles. Aphex Twin has a few European shows scheduled this fall and those dates are below.
