Athens/Atlanta band Abor Labor Union, who used to be called Pinecones and released an album in 2014, have signed with Sub Pop who will release their new album, I Hear You, on May 13. The name has changed but the band’s sound has not: jammy, slightly sludgy indie rock, owing more than a little to the early ’90s, with the impassioned shoutings of Bo Orr. A prime example is “Beliefed,” which makes its premiere in this post. Listen, along with previous single “Radiant Mountain Road,” below.

The band will be on tour right after the album’s release and will play NYC’s Mercury Lounge on May 19. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today at noon, with the general on-sale starting Friday (3/25) at noon.

All tour dates are listed, along with album art/tracklist and the song streams, below.
