If MTV still gets to have a music awards show, then surely YouTube should get one too right? Well this November, for the first year ever, there will be a YouTube Music Awards show, which was created with Spike Jonze.

The live event will take place in NYC on November 3 at Pier 36 with performances by Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire and Eminem, plus musicians who have gained recognition via Youtube, including Lindsey Stirling and Cdza, and more. The show will also stream live online.

The awards nominations will be announced in mid-October. More info here.

Arcade Fire have a new album on the way, and they were just in NYC to perform on SNL, after which an Arcade Fire special, “Here Comes the Night Time,” aired on NBC.

Eminem also has a new LP on the way.

So does Lady Gaga, but first she releases a remix EP for its single “Applause” today (10/1), which features a remix from Purity Ring (who also appear on the new Danny Brown album). Stream their remix below.
