RIP Johnny Ramone

Of all the Ramones, Johnny meant the most to me. My father used to sell comic books & horror/sci-fi stuff. Johnny was a collector. Growing up I used to see him all the time. He was always super friendly and had no problem taking time out to pose for a picture or two.
RIP Johnny

On the day of his death, I went out on the town and met a drunken woman who had known Johnny Ramone. Many years ago she had brought him home to her mother. She proceeded to tell me that“Mom” hadn’t approved of Johnny. Well, that’s my story about the man.

I think Johnny Ramone was the coolest ramone of the Ramones!
I bought a shirt a couple of days ago, print with the lines
''I'm not Johnny Ramone'' A shirt that he've worn.
Too Bad that he's dead

Used to see him at paper shows in NY. At the time I was sadly oblivious to his greatness. But he'd walk in, look for his stuff, totally cool, in his leather jacket, goin about his biz.
It took me this long to discover - WOW - I love the Ramones (now am a middle ager). BUMMER, was I dumb.
He's my favorite Ramone. Actually I think of him as being THE Ramones, well I know they all gave equally to the whole, but for some reason I am totally obsessed with Johnny. What an original.
