Like you, I stumbled upon this "Free iPod" offer. It's worth a try, and they won't screw you over in any way. If I had a problem with spam or anything, I'd tell you. So basically, they are offering for free:

- the 8gb and 16gb iPod Touch
- the 80gb and 160gb iPod Video/classic (Black or Silver)
- cash equivalent of $300.

Okay as skeptical as you may be, it works. Basically the way it works, is that the site offering the ipods for free is an advertising company that makes you to sign up for offers from different internet companies. Every time someone signs up, they (the advert company) get $$. Fortunately, there is a way for you can get around the catch of having to pay for any offers by signing up for stamps.com for a 4-week trial, and you just cancel it after the required 21-days (and before the 4-week trial ends). You wont get charged in the process, and you will receive the credit for the free iPod for doing so.
