I was going to keep this one a secret until a little closer to Christmas time, but the cat is already out of the bag. There does exist a bootleg CD mix of unreleased, live, pre-release-mixed, and holiday songs by the Arcade Fire (and Arcade fire members). According to Jeddeth, who also has the complete track list on his site, the CD was given out as a gift to their friends for Christmas 2002. It may be possible even though "In the Backseat," which appears on the Christmas CD, wasn't officialy released until 2004.
The reason this was such a big secret was because, like all Christmas gifts, you're not supposed to know what you're getting until you get it. And thanks to a super-Santa-like-blogger from Minneapolis (with the help of some of his blogger bandwidth providing elves) this CD should be coming down a BlogTorrent chimney near you very soon.
