Best of 2004 Lists Continued
Franz Ferdinand tops the NME list for best album of the year. The Libertines win best song. (via largeheartedboy)
Rajeev from One Louder posted his favorites for 2004. This is probably the only list where you'll find the band X-Wife.
'I Do What I Can' posted their top 15 albums. Arcade Fire WINS.
'It's Matt's World' posted his top five albums. For a short list, there are some surprises.
Dave Rocks The Universe listed his favorite 8 albums.
Like 'the art of keeping a secret,' Scissor Sisters are high on my list of favorites.
Socialblunders doesn't think enough good music came out in 2004 to compile a top ten list. I can't say I agree, but his list of albums to avoid is very funny.
Green Day takes the title from Feist on Shot's list of top 20 albums.
Dylan Hicks agrees with the grammys on Kanye West. He also has an entire blog dedicated to his best of lists.
(Noranna from) Australia hearts the Killers. Interpol, Dogs Die in Hot Cars & Eagles of Death Metal too.
Jez says that The Black Keys rule all.
Punk International Articles has one of the most unique lists I've seen.
'hours in between' strictly lists the best electronic music releases of 2004.
Slightly related, Kerrang published it's list of the 50 greatest punk albums ever (as voted by readers) (via the rock & roll report)
Also in the 'best of' subject, the History of Comedy has the 50 Greatest Comedy Albums.
uggh. I'm exhausted. Who knew there were so many lists? That's it for now.

Hey, I just noticed a good number of referrals coming from this page -- thanks for the mention to an otherwise little-read (and unhip) blog! I still stand by my best album decision, but I'm a little peeved at myself for overlooking Nick Cave's new double LP and the latest K-Os album... -Jez

Hey, just noticed that you'd linked to my old blog (socialblunders.blogspot.com) back in December, and wanted to say thanks. Though to be honest, I didn't say there wasn't enough music to make a top ten list, but that the top ten list format seemed old and busted. Haha.
By the way, I've since moved the site to a new domain, so if you feel like keeping the link current, you can permalink it to http://www.socialblunders.com/archives/2004/12/top_albums_of_2.html
