At their last of three NYC shows last week, Broken Social Scene said their tour was officially over, and that we wouldn't see them again until they had a new album. According to Billboard, we can expect that album in April or May.

Billboard also says...

  • BSS's labelmate, Stars, will have a U.S. release of their album on March 8th. You can already get it in Canada.

  • BSS, Stars, and Death from Above 1979 are touring Japan together in May.
In other news, BSS member Leslie Feist, whose solo career produced one of the best albums of 2004, was heard on the OC.

Funny, I was just rocking out to DFA1979 on the sub -20 deg. C walk home..

DFA is playing a show in Toronto Dec. 30. I'll be there and I'll write a summary on my blog.

Furthermore, the Stars album is AMAZING. I acquired the promo a few months ago and I still listen to it. They're coming to my town in January. Again, I'll be at that show.
