Colin Meloy of the Decemberists is playing solo at Fez on January 22nd. Tickets are on sale.

"Colin Meloy, singer and songwriter for the band, will be heading out on a short, 9-date national tour in which he will be playing songs, Decemberist and otherwise, solo in intimate theaters and clubs in metropolitan areas all over the U.S. For this event, he's in the process of recording a tour-only EP of Morrissey rarities covers. To be entitled "Colin Meloy Sings. . . Morrissey," no less.

Carson Ellis, illustratrix-extraordinaire, and self-fashioned artist-officiale for the band will be on hand as well, selling exclusive prints and small original sketches at a very small price."

Carson is his girlfriend.
