NYC Concert Update
Those going to Yo La Tengo @ Maxwells tonight get a special Hannukah gift. Calexico (who I just got home from seeing at Bowery Ballroom) are the opener.
Me First and the Gimme Gimme Gimmes are playing Irving Plaza on January 9th. This show deserves it's own post. If you don't know who they are, go find out, cause you'll probably want to go. I won't be surprised if it sells out either.
December 16th at Knitting Factory is the Kiki & Herb CD preview party. Expect a performance by Herb and lots of celebrities.
The Onion Holiday party featuring Todd Barry and French Kicks is sold out, but Todd Barry, David Cross, Jon Benjamin, and special guests TBA @ Pianos on December 30th is not. That's because there are no advanced tickets.
Black Sheep plays The Lions Den on December 18th.
Raekwon plays The Lions Den on December 23rd.
John Mayer (who recently played Housing Works...crazy) is playing Webster Hall on December 28th and 29th.
Tickets are on sale for !!!'s two shows at Mercury Lounge on December 30th.
CocoRosie & Tilly and the Wall (pics) have been announced as the openers for Bright Eyes at The Town Hall on January 25th and 26th. I couldn't ask for a better show.
Murphy's Law is playing Continental New Years Eve. Should be crazy.
Thurston Moore plays Tonic with Jim O'Rourke on December 18th and Knitting Factory on February 6th.
Those that didn't qualify for the Motley Crue presale can get tickets for their March 3rd show at MSG starting this Saturday at 9am.
Duran Duran is back again again. At MSG April 13th. Tickets on sale Monday Dec. 13th.
The "Taste of Chaos" tour featuring The Used, Senses Fail, Underoath, My Chemical Romance, and Killswitch Engage hits Hammerstein Ballroom on February 24th.
And last, but not least, Ashlee Simpson will be gracing us with her presence at Hammerstein Ballroom on March 16th.
