Time for More Best of 2004 Lists
PopMatters lists their top 100 albums of 2004.
Coolfer lists his top albums in no particular order. I think you might find some nice recommendations on there.
Chromewaves chimes in with his top 10, mp3 samples included.
1115.org lists a whole bunch of albums you've never heard of, and books, tv shows, and video games too. (via information leafblower)
'the lost art of keeping a secret' updated his list to include write-ups with each album.
Witz.org claims to have the taste of an OC watching Hot Topic shopper.
'static and distance' includes br danielson in his list of top albums. He's got pics from Danielson's show at Northsix too.
Blender Magazine rated their favorite 50 CDs. 50-25 are on their website. For the rest, you'll have to buy the magazine. It looks like they dropped all of Pitchfork's favorites in a hat with the top selling mainstream CDs and picked them out one at a time.
toddv (a livejournalist) posts his top music for the year, and lets you download a song from each to form an 80 minute mixed CD (with cover art)
'Koons Really Does Think He's Michelangelo' is breaking his top 50 albums into installments. Here's part 1.
'Music & More' lists ten albums including Keane. I haven't heard of most of them.
Scott from South Dakota likes Paul Westerberg a lot. (mp3s there too)
'Fink on 45' says Kanye West wins.
