MP3 blogging took a hit. The Big Ticket has the details on the story of Moistworks, with more at Donewaiting. Mystery and Misery says it how it is. I’d expect some commentary on this over at Coolfer, but apparantly he’s on vacation. Those deviant MP3 blogs hosting Public Enemy

Maybe they should have posted something less controversial, like the upcoming Beck album that has officialy leaked. The blog that posted the whole CD made a good move by removing it. More at aeki tuesday and One Louder.

Causing much less of a commotion is the also-recently-leaked Idlewild album.

It’s unfortunate that the Shivaree show at Joe’s Pub tonight is sold out. I just started listening to them/her this week after some IM recommendations. I think Chromewaves knows the same people I do.

The Arcade Fire stream from KCRW is now available as MP3s. Bradley’s Almanac has the entire thing for download.

Here’s one that came to me in a dream. The two tiny sisters, Tegan and Sara, played Bowery Ballroom in NYC on the same day that Apple released their two new tiny products. Steven Jobs runs Apple. Little Steven was at the Bowery show. Last time Tegan and Sara were in town, they played the Appple store. What does this all mean? I don’t know.

In the current indie rock scene it’s Joanna Newsom lovers vs. haters. Catherine says that Joanna’s music is ‘the 2004 equivalent of taking a cute boy home only to find that he’s, like, a hermaphrodite or something
