My condolences go out to the Pitchfork haters 'cause Pitchfork is back from vacation. No redesign yet, as their having technical difficulties. Kicked off the year with a positive review of Snow Patrol's recently reissued second album.

Soviet Panda has returned to the blogosphere.

I had so many ideas on how to respond to this next one. Like...

"Coolfer obviously didn't hear that you shouldn't be blogging about Death Cab, Morrissey, Ashlee, U2, Joanna, The Killers, Danger Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, Ted Leo and The Arcade Fire."
or
"Isn't it ironic that Coolfer adds another Arcade Fire post to the blogosphere? It's like rain on your wedding day."
or
"Coolfer's over-blogged band post sets off a string of blog posts on over-blogged bands."
or
"I told you Arcade Fire is a bad word."
or even
"The music blogger hype machine backlash continued today with a post from music blogger Coolfer on over-blogged bands. This comes on the heels of another music blogger bashing post by prominent sometimes music blogger Whatevs just last week. We'll update you with coverage on this story as it comes in."

Man Man are the other opener for Arcade Fire at both NYC shows. They're also playing Mercury Lounge (with Death From Above 1979) and Northsix and a whole lot of other places. So says Pitchfork.

Teaching the Indie Kids to Dance (TTIKTD) posted Chad Van Gaalen MP3s. Don't miss them. And get more in my own Chad post.

Speaking of TTIKTD, I recently figured out that he was the other person at the Magneta Lane show.

Catchdubs points out this must-see video of The Fiery Furnaces performing "Mouse House, Moose Hoose."

Central Village updates us on the NYC show situation. Highlights include Buck 65 back in town, a secret Trail of Dead show, and "What have you done for me lately" Interpol with Blonde Redhead at Radio City.

I can't actually find any evidence of that Snow Patrol album having been re-released in the U.S. (I know it has been in Europe, not not here I don't think.) If anyone does, let me know.

Holy shet that Fiery Furnaces clip is the supercutest thing I have ever seen. I want to marry Eleanor and have her interrupt the wedding band to sing about mouses and mooses.
