Sorry about all the posts today. They just keep appearing. I'm more sorry that I'm not getting anything I really need be doing, done.
First and foremost, PORTISHEAD IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM! Obviously I'm excited. And as One Louder pointed out, the upcoming Portishead tsunami benefit show is not actually Portishead at all, but just Beth Gibbons solo, which is still good, but I have to take back my letter. It's not like I was going to be at the show anyway, but as Portishead's official site points out, the show can be viewed as a live web cast.
Next topic: Sleater Kinney. In the above referenced One Louder post, they also update us with the latest on Sleater Kinney, including the much anticpated two shows at Mercury Lounge in NYC on March 2nd and 3rd. Well I just read on Daily Refill, that those tickets are now ON SALE.
Jen also points out the new Postal Service video that's worth a look, Jenny Lewis included.
Chromewaves, who also covers the Postal Service video AND Portishead AND Sleater Kinney today, reports that Iron and Wine and Calexico are collaborating.
KarenPlusOne asks us to check out the new video from the Kaiser Chiefs.
And finally, the initial Bonnaroo lineup has been announced... Joanna Newsom, Rilo Kiley, Secret Machines, M Ward, Mars Volta, and Modest Mouse included. More on that at Stereogum and Thighs Wide Shut.
