Shows, Shows, Shows & Stuff

So many shows. So little time.

Central Village points out:

...that Goldie Lookin Chain is playing Mercury Lounge in March (no advanced tix). Their album is released in the USA for the first time around that time.

...and that Stars and Apostle of Hustle are playing Mercury Lounge on March 8th. Ticketweb (apparently) sold out in a few hours. Try the box office. Here are some pics from last time Apostle of Hustle was here (not counting the BSS shows where they played some AOH songs). Check out even more recent BSS/Stars/Apostle of Hustle picturess at Chromewaves.

...and that Go! Team tix are on sale.

More dates at Central Village.

Morningwood is playing Southpaw Feb. 22nd. That's a few days after they open for The Music and Kasabian at Irving Plaza.

Queens of the Stone Age is playing with Eagles of Death Metal. (my last post)

Bloc Party is not sold out yet. Arcade Fire's bowery show didn't sell out for a month either. With the Fiery Furnaces playing the night after Bloc Party, it looks like I'll be living at Bowery Ballroom for three days.

The Doves show is sold out, but most of these aren't.

Bonnie Prince Billy will be here in April.

The Mars Volta make it to NYC in May.

I'll be happy to send you the link to the interview I did with the bassist of Stars (I forget his name right now). I also have a ton of pictures from their recent Waterloo performance, if you'd like to see them.

ItÒs simple but effective. They also do other genres. Adolescent poetry is worth a look.
