The Dead Can Dance reunion tour is underway in Europe, and I've got the North American dates, which include....(drum roll please)...October 8th at Radio City Music Hall! (all dates below)

According to their website, "The band is doing approximately thirty minutes of brand new, never-heard material in their set each night of this tour."

And like (their 4AD labelmates) the Pixies, they're selling limited edition recordings from thirteen of the shows.

"Own limited-edition recordings from the Dead Can Dance European tour of 2005. Only 500 discs will be made of each of these thirteen shows.

These are not CD-R's, but real, professionally mastered, silver-plated, pressed CDs.

Each package will be individually numbered and include pictures, art and notes from the tour and a track-list from the specific show recorded."

Get more info and place your orders here.

Tickets for the Toronto concert went on sale last April 16th. My wife and I arrived one hour before the box office opened, in order to avoid the expected huge line-up. It ended up being a huge line-up of one person. An hour later, when the box office opened, the line-up totalled 3 people. Wowee. Yesterday, May 11th, I went online to check if there were any tickets still available, and guess what, they seem to be far from having sold half of the available tickets. Back in Europe I would have expected an onslaught of people going crazy trying to buy tickets. But alas, the musical appreciation of Torontonians doesn't amount to much disappointment.

The Chicago show was great. But sadly, it's sold out already. :(
