First Misfits, now Final Fantasy
Pitchfork obviously didn't take my threat of violence very seriously. Just two days after they threw my Misfits logo on their homepage, they decide to add insult to injury by mimicking my entire site with a full-on Final Fantasy meets the Misfits spread.
Pitchfork: March 9th, 2005

Brooklynvegan: March 7th-8th, 2005

Maybe they're just trying to prove they know more about Owen than me, like the part about impressing the guys he had crushes on, his interest in Japanese culture and literature, and that he co-wrote the string arrangements for the Arcade Fire's Funeral, or even that Xiu Xiu is his favorite band. hmmm. maybe.
UPDATE:
;-) <---- Larry suggested I add this emoticon to the post to more clearly point out it's humorous nature.

How would they get news if they didn't read blogs? PFork is usually 2 days to a week behind the curve.

pitchfork reads all the same music blogs i do. i swear. and they rip off every single one of them... i've seen the same paragraphs totally lifted from certain blogs... with just a couple words changed.
i'm actually surprised that nobody has put some pressure on them.
that act like they have all this "exclusive" news.. but it's always (poorly) lifted from somewhere else... sometimes even total mainstream media like billboard or rolling stone.
my favorite is music.for-robots.com. pitchfork ends up reviewing like 25% of the mp3s listed there.. and even end up stealing the content/thoughts of mfr.
its lame.

pitchfork isn't some socially retarded dweeb sitting in his underwear in his bedroom above the garage writing about the songs that make his life worthwhile. pitchfork is a business. they are making money, they don't hear a newsflash and post it on their blog in 30 seconds. i can't believe i'm defending pitchfork, i don't even read it.

Here's a newsflash for you "g." The post was a JOKE. thank you for reading. I'm going to go change my underwear now.
side note: you're correct about pitchfork not writing from the garage. It's the basement:
