Queens of the Stone Age played NYC | Lullabies To Paralyze
Queens of the Stone Age played Webster Hall in NYC Thursday night, and the ceiling DID NOT collapse. I wasn't there, but the New York Times was. (look here for the same story with no login). They report, among other things, that Mark Lanegan made a "not-very-surprise" appearance.
Before the show, the band stopped by the K-Rock (NYC Radio station) studios. During the interview, QOTSA hinted at some future shows at Hammerstein Ballroom, expressed interest in playing Central Park Summerstage, made fun of Brian "Head" Welch, and said that the new album is their favorite to date.
In what is becoming a trend, the DJ also did some Webster Hall bashing during the interview, in which the band also discussed the "flockers" who leaked the new album (though they have no problem with the downloaders themselves).
Listen to the whole interview, and a song they performed live on the air, at K-Rock.
Rolling Stone reviewed Lullabies To Paralyze
Pitchfork gave it a 7.5.
Listen to the album at Myspace.
