Save The Tank?

I've never even been to the Tank, but with Tonic out of the red, we need a venue to save. This from the Tank's website:

"Since our opening in May 2003, The Tank has become a unique, midtown space for emerging artists and performers in all disciplines. Through our collaborative approach to presenting work, we have kept financial burden off of artists and performers. And we have made live performance accessible to a wide audience due to our commitment to low ticket prices.

Our dynamic and eclectic schedule reflects an ever-growing community of artists and dreamers who have found a home for some of their most daring and exciting ideas. But we will be homeless by the end of May 2005.

The Tank will be losing its space at 432 West 42nd Street to commercial real estate developers. That's why we need you.

We are searching for a new home: one that can become a similarly attractive and low-pressure environment for artists and audience to continue our mission of collaboration and affordability. Additionally, we want to expand to create more rehearsal and tech areas, office space for resident companies, and to make the venue a public space during the day for the arts community.

It’s a tall order. Some might call it a dream. We call it the next step.

When The Tank started in the Spring of 2003 with no capital and no experience, we came up with a plan that everyone warned would not work. But we’ve done what many said was impossible: we’ve run a non-profit arts space for the past 15 months without losing money. We’ve paid off our initial loans and hired a full-time Director of Operations who supervises the staff made up entirely of volunteers. We’ve made this dream happen and now, with your help, we plan to do it again.

Please help us.

So now I'm feeling all kinds of guilt for sucking the life out of a poor guy who just wants to go fishing on the weekends.

I switched the vibrator off and set it aside. My hips were starting to get sore, so Dangly picked me up & scooted me up the bed. I straightened my legs as he moved his to the outside.
