Brian Head Welch sings to 50 Cent | MP3
Brian Head Welch's upcoming reality show just adds to the suspicion that this is all some publicity stunt, but anyway...
"For the second time in as many weeks, Welch has written an open letter to the platinum-plus rapper, detailing his efforts to deliver what he calls "a personal letter from God" to him.
Welch had previously explained that while on religious holiday in Israel, God told him to write a song for 50. And now he's sent over the lyrics to that song, called "A Cheap Name," which not only touch upon 50's past (most notably the 2000 shooting where he was hit nine times), but call upon him to change his ways:
"My little boy/ Bow your head in shame/ You've disgraced your father's name now/ It's time for you to lose," the lyrics read in part. "Your little toys/ Won't save you from shot 10/ Without me you will not win, no/ I swear you'll lose."
Welch explained that "A Cheap Name" was not an attack on 50, but rather a "message from God" (the last line in the song is "Love, Jesus"). And as he explained further in his letter, Welch only wants the rapper to change the way he lives his life, because, as he put it, "God told me there will be many attempts made to kill you by the enemy." The dude'z really got somethin goin there...I think his way to ressurect himself n his passion for muzic is kool..n if jeasus was a rocker he'd surely be in Head's band...

Havent read his book.....but...I dunno drug addiction is a mind fuck......he needed a saviour....I hope it all works out.The thing is the concept of jesus christ is not everyone's saviour.He needs to understand that and be less vocal when it comes to that shit.
Other than that I still dig his music....he mut def kee it up.

It is awesome that Jesus did save him from his drugs, and I don't think that his message is to vocalize himself untill people are pushed into faith in Christ, but his message, and was the message of Jesus, is that Jesus really is the savior for everyone. Our society says that we should 'respect' everyone's feelings and not speak out if it offends people. But Brian isn't worried about offending, he is just sharing the radically transformed life he has in Jesus so that people know they too can have that.
And for sure, I still dig his music too :)

What has the world come to that just because someone famous FINDS A GOOD THING and saves his own life from HELL you have to put him down??? Is it just because us Christians shouldn't try to tell you about JESUS??? You sure tell us what you think. Have you ever thought that we were PUSHING JESUS on you because we DO believe you will BURN IN HELL without him???? It's pretty sad that everyone is upset now. What about when he was helping feed our nation with songs about a baby dead and raped and calling it PRETTY??? Did that bother you? PROBABLY NOT!!!!! I read his book in two days and it was amazing! I stand by him in Jesus name that he will not FAIL in his walk with God and that ALL his fans find Jesus because of his courage to take a stand!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
