Help Todd P & the llano estacado

Do you know Todd Patrick? Perhaps you've been to one of the hundreds of shows he's selflessly promoted over the years throughout Brooklyn.
In the last few months, Todd's been working hard to build out his very own venue, the Llano Estacado, in Williamsburg. It's a great big pre-Civil War warehouse basement with great natural sound and a lot going for it. Todd started having shows there in January and things quickly soared in popularity. On March 4, however, local police and fire dept. officials cited Todd with several code violations, and in order to protect his space, he shut it down until the necessary improvements could be made. And he's been making those improvements himself.
So I ran into Todd at his show for Black Mountain tonight and talked with him for a while about the situation. He really could use some volunteers this weekend to help him out with construction in the space. His deadline for most of the work to be completed is Tuesday, April 5th, and he can get there with your help. You don't need tools but if you have them it's very welcome. You should be an able-bodied person who can deal with a spot of hard labor, and you should dress appropriately (clothes you don't care about, workboots if you got em). The more people who help out, the sooner the work will be complete, and Todd can relocate all of his shows back to the space.
The weather is supposed to be rainy this weekend, so spending it warm and dry indoors while you help a great guy get a DIY concert venue in proper condition should be a no-brainer.
Todd's working from 10am-10pm this Saturday and Sunday (April 2-3, 2005). I'm not going to be there for all of it but I will be blocking out 3-4 hours each day to help. That's kind of a reaonable commitment for you, even if you can only come by one day.

there are variations on this including adding some carnation milk (my mam) or using horror of horrors margarine. but I like it this way.
