I've been listening to the new Hold Steady CD a lot lately, and I still like it a lot. It doesn't actually come out until May 3rd. You can pre-order it at Amazon. The CD release party/show at Bowery Ballroom is on May 19th. Need New Body opens the show, and according to The Hold Steady's website, there's a secret guest. "The special guest is a secret right now, but you will not be disappointed."

it could be that guy POS, who they've played with before. he was pretty awesome. but with the band bragging about us not being disappointed, i'm gonna go ahead and cross my fingers for HAR MAR SUPERSTAR. not sure if he counts as a rapper, but how hot would that be?! seems almost too hot to be true, though....

By "Atmosphere," I of course meant Slug, because Atmosphere is Slug and that other dude who's name I can't remember. Ah, whatever, you know what I meant.
