Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

It was February 14th, 2005 and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah opened for The Kaiser Chiefs at Mercury Lounge. Quickly becoming local superstars, CYHSY channel Talking Heads at some of the hottest shows in NYC almost every week. Just over a year old, they've already played Lit, Pianos (including a residency), Mercury Lounge, Rothko, Sin-e, Crash Mansion (with the Fever), Northsix (with Ambulance Ltd), Maxwell's (with Rye Coalition), the 500 capacity Bowery Ballroom (with Radio 4), and more.

I recommend you download the MP3s they've posted on their website. The same MP3s are linked at Mystery & Misery.

Their first CD comes out soon, and they'll play The Delancey in NYC to celebrate the occasion on June 9th. Those in Alliston, MA can catch them on May 28th @ Great Scott.

Andrew Katchen profiled them for the NY Daily News (and rightfully gave CYHSY fan I Rock I Roll a plug)

Saw these guys open for Rye Coalition at Maxwell's, and they were great. I think they have a record coming out this week.
