Ditch iTunes, Use Winamp for your iPod

People that will make fun of you about this type of thing make fun of me all the time. I hate iTunes, and I love Winamp (classic skin only). I only use iTunes to sync my iPod (against my will). I listen to all my music in Winamp. There's been this iPod plug-in for Winamp for a while, but apparently it just got good.

"IPod users are raving about a plug-in that makes the Winamp digital jukebox a better way to manage the iPod than Apple's iTunes. The plug-in, called ml_iPod, allows iPod users to bypass iTunes and manage music collections in Winamp instead. The iPod is supposed to work with iTunes only. A new version of the software was released Monday."

THANK YOU MAKER OF THIS.

""A lot of the feedback I get is people thanking me for freeing them from iTunes," said Fisher. "It shows the dissatisfaction people have with iTunes.""

I used to swear by Winamp, but got over it. Why is it better than iTunes?

I prefer Winamp as well; small, fast, unobtrusive. I can't speak for the Mac version of iTunes, but the Windows version seems bloated to me. I play music with winamp, manage music with iTunes. Can't wait to try this out.
