Ed Harcourt recently finished a small east coast tour in small venues to support his new album (Strangers). I went to the April 20th, 2005 show at Pianos in NYC. Ed is a talented guy, but I was stuck in the way back, so I ended up listening to most of the show from the upstairs room where they play the performance from downstairs for free. It was OK. Not my favorite performer, but someone I definitely took the opportunity to see when someone offered me their extra ticket for free.
Tiny Mix Tapes gave Strangers a 3/5. PopMatters liked it more than that.
